Designed to replace the aging P-11 fighters in the Polish air force the Hawk was a truly modern fighter.   In test flight it showed good potential however it needed a more powerful engine.   The new engine arrived from England just as the Germans began their invasion.   When D.C. comics started their "Blackhawk" series in 1941, the Polish Hawk was picked as the plane for these fictional pilots. nbsp; Painting it black for night flying gave them the squadron name "Black Hawk Squadron".   This 3 in 1 kit (Display, Tether, and Glide) Ideal first kit for the young beginning modeler.   It is designed to be a low cost simple wood project for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts or other youth organizations.
