Aaron Narance (age 6) is holding a modified Blackhawk Models "Golden Hawk". The kit was modified to look like a 1930's pursuit plane. "U.S. ARMY" and stars, etc. to be applied later. The second seat was filled in, and a Sig bubble canopy installed. The fuse was extended 1/2" for balance. A brass cowling was constructed to fit around the "OK Cub" .049 radial mounted engine. The model was finished with (red) Perfect paint. The engine has been run up three times, and we are awaiting the day for first flights. I just started work on a Fokker D-VII.
