Jon won this Black Hawk Models Custom Special kit in a raffle at the second round of the Tour d'Michigan in July and entered it The Michigan State Meet in September.   In the “15 Sport Plane Proto Speed” event, you can enter Perkys or any other design with a suction 15 on 10% nitro.   The event is flown exactly like Perky with 16 laps timed from a standing start.   Jon’s Custom Special, powered by a Typhoon 15, did 70.8 MPH for 3rd place.   The pictures show Jon's plane and his brother Ed preparing to fire up the Custom Special.
